Report From CINC/CNNIC Conferences and APAMI – Beijing, China; 25-27 October, 2013

Our colleague Professor Ying Wu, PhD, RN, ACNP, Dean of the School of Nursing, Capital Medical University, Beijing, China and President, APAMI, reports on the events recently held in Beijing. Her full report is available here, and the highlights include:

The first China National Nursing Informatics Conference (CNNIC) was jointly held with the 2nd Capital International Nursing Conference (CINC) from October 25th to 27th, 2013, in Beijing, China. The theme of this convention was “Translational Research, Evidence-based Practice, and Securing Health”. On October 25th, along with the opening ceremony for the conferences, a celebration of the 20th anniversary for APAMI was held, to recall the establishment of the organisation and achievements that have been made within APAMI over the past 20 years.

During the ceremony, Minister Assistant of Ministry of Education Huiqing Lin, Deputy Director of Medical Affairs, Hospital Authority (HA) National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) of the People’s Republic of China, Dr. Jun Zhou, IMIA Vice-President and President-elect Dr. Hyeoun-Ae Park, CMIA President Dr. Shuqian Luo, President of Chinese Nursing Association Dr. Xiuhua Li,  and other delegates also delivered remarks about the future development of the nursing profession in China, and expressed their support in the area of health informatics.

Almost five hundred people attended the conference. 43 oral and 110 poster presentations, including abstracts in the field of health and nursing informatics, were shared with attendees  and distinguished guests and scholars from the US, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, and China who participated in this global convention.

Clinical Informatics and Telemedicine (Ukraine) 2013: Vol. 9; Issue 10

Our colleagues from the Ukrainian Association for Computer Medicine, an IMIA Member Society, write:

A new issue of the journal Clinical Informatics and Telemedicine – 2013; Vol. 9; Issue 10 – is now available online at www.uacm.kharkov.ua/eng

Clinical Informatics and Telemedicine is the official journal of the Ukrainian Association for Computer Medicine, and publishes highly-ranked original research articles and reviews in the broad fields of medical and biological informatics and cybernetics, IT in clinical neurophysiology and cardiology, IT in medical education and other areas, in Ukrainian, Russian and English languages. Clinical Informatics and Telemedicine (JKiT) is a partner of the European Journal of Biomedical Informatics (EJBI) (http://www.ejbi.eu ), which according to the contract is exchanged for the publication of articles and other materials of interest to experts of Ukraine, CIS countries and the European Union. JKiT is indexed in the international scientometric database Index Copernicus.

The archive of all articles published in Clinical Informatics and Telemedicine are now available on-line, from 2004 to the present (http://uacm.kharkov.ua/eng/). The JKiT V9, Issue 10, 2013 will be online soon, please follow this link.
