Reminder: Medinfo2013 Tutorials Programme Announced – Sign Up by 12 June

The Medinfo2013 SPC and LOC are pleased to announce a programme of 23 high quality, half-day tutorials, to be held on 19 and 20 August, 2013. The 23 half day tutorials are organized in tracks, making Medinfo2013 an excellent chance for those who wish to be introduced to new topics, get new inspiration and broaden their network within topics of interest. The program is available on the Medinfo2013 website, directly at

The fee is being kept as low as possible for those who are already registered for Medinfo2013 (emails are being sent today to all registrants). The tutorials are also open for others at a higher fee. [NOTE: Tutorials have to be paid as EXTRA, and are not included the main Medinfo2013 fee.] The LOC encourage everyone to please register as soon as possible. The deadline for registration for tutorials is June 12; after this date, the SPC and LOC may have to cancel some of the planned tutorials if insufficient people have signed up for them.

The programme of tutorials addresses diverse topics, including Clinical Decision Support (several tutorials addressing various aspects), national eHealth strategies, openEHR clinical content models, implementation of telemedicine services in rural areas, data mining in clinical applications, eHealth and mHealth evaluations, user-centered design for public health and consumer health informatics, the Chief Medical Information Officer role, fundamentals of clinical and translational research informatics, and ethical issues in health informatics.

Full information on Medinfo2013 is on the website at – this will be frequently updated in the coming weeks with other announcements.
