IFHIMA Survey on Health Information and Medical Records

On behalf of IFHIMA, the International Federation of Health Information Management (www.ifhima.org), an IMIA Affiliate member, we are pleased to invite colleagues to complete a survey about health information and medical records.

The request is outlined below – the survey is available at http://knowledgeconnex.international.sgizmo.com/s3/ The closing date for responses is 05 April, 2013.

Marsha Dolan, MBA, RHIA, FAHIMA, Missouri Western State University, St. Joseph, MO, USA and Julie Wolter, MA, RHIA, FAHIMA, Saint Louis University, St. Louis, MO USA write: Do you work with health information and medical records? If so, do you ever get asked by a family member or friends to help them understand a medical term, take care of an important medical document, or make a decision involving their medical care.
The authors of this presentation believe that the skills and qualifications of health information management professionals help make us uniquely qualified to help others. As a result, we would like you to consider responding to our survey and let us know if you have helped someone. If you have, then would you share an example of how you provided assistance.
The results will be presented at the IFHIMA conference in May:
