2013 European Summit on Trustworthy Reuse of Data; IJMI Paper from 2012 Summit

IMIA is pleased to announce that it will host the 2013 European Summit on the Trustworthy Reuse of Health Data ( The Summit will build on the discussions and activities initiated at the 2012 Summit.

The 2013 Summit will occur on 3-4 June 2013 in Brussels Belgium at the Le Plaza Hotel ( Summit participation will by invitation only. The 2013 Summit is part of IMIA’s broader Transnational Health Data Reuse Initiative. This Initiative is focused on stimulating robust discussions about health data reuse at the global level. Several stakeholder-specific engagements and events are being planned throughout 2013.

Summaries of the 2012 Summit’s proceedings and output have been documented via a publication and through video. A journal article about the Summit, “Trustworthy reuse of health data; A transnational perspective” by A. Geissbuhler, C. Safran, I. Buchan, R. Bellazzi, S. Labkoff, K. Eilenberg, A. Leese, C. Richardson, J. Mantas, P. Murray, G. De Moor was published in the International Journal of Medical Informatics (IJMI – Vol 82:1, pp. 1-9) and is available for free download.
