SUBMISSIONS UPDATE: eHealth2013 – Vienna, Austria – 23-24 May, 2013

The eHealth 2013 (www.ehealth2013.at) conference will take place in Wien (Vienna), Austria, on 23-24 May, 2013.

The German-speaking eHealth2013 conference connects researchers from Austria, Germany and Switzerland in discussing the application of eHealth technologies in health care. The topic of eHealth2013 is: “Big Data – From data analysis to knowledge management”. The call for submissions is open now, deadline for submission of papers is January 20th, 2013, and of workshops etc is 28 February. For more information, see www.eHealth2013.at.

This event is organised by, among others, IMIA’s Member Society in Austria, the Working Group Medical Informatics and eHealth of the Austrian Computer Society (OCG) and the Austrian Society for Biomedical Engineering (ÖGBMT) (http://iig.umit.at/akmi/akmi.htm). IMIA is a supporting partner in the event.

HIC 2013 Call for Papers – Deadline 18 February, 2013

615The Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) is pleased to invite you to respond to our Call for Submissions for HIC 2013, Australia’s Health Informatics Conference.  See full information at http://www.hisa.org.au/page/hic2013 or via the Call email.  HIC 2013 will be held on 15-18 July, 2013 in Adelaide, Australia.

HIC will be bringing together a range of international and national experts and leaders to share, inspire and evolve our e-health and health informatics community. We look forward to you being part of the official proceedings and sharing your work, ideas and innovations to contribute to this evolution.  All submissions will be double-blind peer reviewed to ensure that only the best content ends up on the HIC program.

Scientific Papers (full papers, 4-6 pages, 2000-3000 words) – Scientific submissions require a full written paper using the guidelines and templates provided below. Selected submissions will be published as a monograph in the prestigious IOS Press series on ‘Studies in Health Technology and Informatics’ and all abstracts will appear in the HIC 2013 Proceedings.

Health Informatics  Specialty Areas include: Nursing Informatics, Aged Care Informatics, Indigenous Informatics, Personalised medicine, Consumer health informatics, Research health informatics. Authors are encouraged to submit under the following topics and health informatics areas: Patient journeys / patient centred care;New technologies / social media / mobile devices; Digital health service delivery; Self-management; HIT Innovation; Remote and/or resource poor; National e-health policies.

Volume 3(4) of the eJournal ACI – Applied Clinical Informatics – an official eJournal of IMIA and AMDIS – now has EIGHT new items – see http://aci.schattauer.de/en/contents/current-issue.html  The THREE most recent items are listed below.

Applied Clinical Informatics has been selected to be indexed and included in MEDLINE/PubMed. The publishers and editorial team will work with the NLM to have past and future papers indexed as soon as possible.
