AMIA 2012 Symposium and Informatics Week in Chicago

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has declared October 30 to November 7, 2012 as “Informatics Week”in Chicago, USA. See AMIA’s News Release with further information.

The AMIA 2012 Annual Symposium takes place in Chicago on 03-07 November, 2012 – see for full details.

Justin Starren, MD, PhD, FACMI, Chief, Division of Health and Biomedical Informatics, Department of Preventive Medicine, who has lead the efforts that have resulted in this high profile event, writes: “The Chicago informatics community decided that the AMIA symposium was not a big enough party, so we are going to have a whole week-plus, of activities.  I would like to ask all of you with internet followings to help us get the word out.” More information at: and  Twitter:  @InformaticsWeek
