100 Days to NI2012 in Montreal, Canada

There are now just 100 days until the start of NI2012, the 11th International Congress on Nursing Informatics, in Montreal, Canada – see www.ni2012.org for all the necessary details.

Advance registration rates close on May 17 – just 63 days away – and after that, the higher on-site rates will apply – www.ni2012.org/registration Special room rates at the Congress venue, the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure, are also available until May 28, or until the block is filled – www.ni2012.org/hotel-information

The Congress starts with pre-Congress tutorials and workshops on 23 June (or optional tours on 22 June), and the official opening is on 24 June – www.ni2012.org/schedule-a-glance

We hope to see many nursing informatics colleagues from around the world at NI2012 – and you will even be very welcome if you are not a nurse.

Bursary reminder:

The organizers of NI2012 are pleased to announce that limited bursary reimbursement funds are available, to assist individuals with travel to the NI2012 Congress. The bursary fund has been established to provide partial travel support for authors and students who can demonstrate a financial need to attend NI2012. Full information is available on the NI2012 website at http://www.ni2012.org/financial-support

The deadline for applications is April 2, 2012. Successful candidates will be notified by April 16, 2012. To apply, submit an application letter to Jeff Williamson, AMIA’s Vice President of Education and Academic Affairs, by email to jeff[at]amia.org Include a statement of need along with estimates of costs in United States Dollars; in addition, you will need to follow the other instructions and eligibility criteria.
