Submission Deadlines: Medicine 2.0’12 and AMIA 2012

Two important conference submission deadlines are upon us within the next few days. If you are intending to submit either an abstract to the Medicine 2.0’12 conference, or a proposal to the AMIA 2012 Annual Symposium, then time is running out.

Medicine 2.0’12 – extended deadline now March 14. The Call for Abstracts, Presentations, Interactive Demos, Tabletop (Tradeshow) Presentation, Startup Pitches and Panel Proposal was extended and will now close on March 14. See for full details and any exceptions.

Medicine 2.0 ’12, aka the 5th World Congress on Social Media, Mobile Apps, and Internet/Web2.0 in Health and Medicine, this year hosted in Boston at Harvard Medical School, will once again be very international and contain a unique mix of traditional academic/research, practice and business presentations, keynote presentations, and panel discussions to discuss emerging technologies in health and medicine, with an emphasis on Internet-based, social media, and mobile technologies. Early bird registration is open.

IMIA supports this conference and the IMIA Medicine 2.0 Award will be administered by the IMIA Social Media Working Group.

AMIA 2012 – the Call for Proposals closes on March 15. AMIA 2012 submissions will be categorized as either foundational contributions of novel informatics methods, or as reports of the application of informatics in the biomedical sciences or the day-to-day practice of health care. The full range of categories, including new or re-instituted categories, and details of the submission process are on the AMIA website at

AMIA is a Member Society of IMIA.
