HIC 2012 (Sydney, Australia) – Call for Submissions Closes February 23

The Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA – is pleased to announce their Call for Submissions for HIC 2012, Australia’s Health Informatics Conference, to be held from 30 July – 2 August 2012 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. Full information on the Call is at – the deadline for paper submissions is 23 February, 2012.

Prof Anthony Maeder and Prof Fernando Martin-Sanchez (IMIA VP Membership) are the Joint Chairs of the HIC 2012 Scientific Program Committee.

The primary theme of the event is Health Informatics – Building a Healthcare Future through Trusted Information, and HIC2012 will focus on consumers, practitioners, researchers and industry. HIC 2012 has three categories of submission:
1. Scientific Papers (full papers, 4-6 pages, 2000-3000 words)
2. Structured industry case studies (600 word overview)
3. Workshops (600 word submission).
