IMIA Open Source WG Co-organising IWEEE 2012 Conference; Granada, Spain
The IMIA Open Source Working Group (OSWG) is co-organizing the next International Workshop on e-Health in Emerging Economies (IWEEE) to be held in Granada, Spain on 11 January, 2012.
This 5th IWEEE is organised by GNUSolidario, EFMI LIFOSS WG and IMIA OSWG. IWEEE promotes the use of open source software in providing healthcare in developing countries and emerging economies. More information about the event is available on the website of IWEEE – http://www.iweee.org
Among the topics for discussion will be :
- Free software in the health sector
- e-Health in Public Health
- Need for Free Standards in e-Health
IWEEE is not a pure technical conference. It will focus on the human factor and in raising awareness about the actual situation, an will discuss the tools that we can provide today to doctors and institutions to improve their habitants health and education.
