HIMSS AsiaPac12 Call for Papers: Closes 31 January, 2012

The HIMSS AsiaPac12 Health IT Conference will be held on 17-19 September, 2012 in Singapore   HIMSS AsiaPac 12 is calling for submissions to present papers on IT development in the Asia Pacific regions. Proposals are sought from top industry leaders and experts that will specifically address the educational needs of professionals in various sectors of healthcare, regarding enterprise solutions and practical approaches to today’s healthcare IT issues. Topics should stimulate discussions and offer practical information and solutions, including a case study. It should represent the diverse healthcare needs in Asia Pacific. The event will feature “Four Conferences in One”, with topic categories including:

  • HIT X.0 –  for healthcare IT leaders who want to be on the forefront of innovative ideas, gain exposure to cutting-edge scientific advances, and explore emerging technologies for the future of patient care.
  • mHIMSS (Mobile Health) – sessions will explore, examine, and debate the ways mobile technology will transform health care delivery, research, business and policy for the 21st Century in healthcare delivery.
  • Home Care (Chronic Disease Management and Independent Living for the Aged) – exploring the support of patients with chronic diseases to take an active role in their own care and of health professionals to better assist their patients in managing their illness. This track also provides a global, cross cultural understanding of the reality of ageing in countries undergoing marked demographic changes, and the myriad social and cultural differences in people’s experiences of ageing and health.
  • Standards and Interoperability – this track will provide opportunities to learn more about standards and interoperability as industry thought leaders, health IT developers and clinician end-users converge and share their rich experiences and knowledge to these important issues during the sessions.
