AMIA: “Standards Standard” and Annual Symposium News
The latest issue of “The Standards Standard” has been released by AMIA. The current issue (Summer 2011, Vol 2, No. 1) is available on the AMIA website (>>>) as are previous issues (http://www.amia.org/news-publications/standards-standard).
Published twice a year (May and December), the publication’s “mission is to enable the widely dispersed and diverse members of the global health informatics community to understand the importance of health information interoperability”. The latest issue covers Interoperability Reviews (including a series of policy briefs on semantic interoperability, workforce challenges and EHRs), Community News (including from CEN and ISO TC 215) and other materials.
The current “Symposium News” is also available on the AMIA website. Vol 2, Issue 1 is from late June 2011, and has news on keynote speakers, and on symposium and pre-symposium activities. A new edition is expected soon. AMIA’s Annual Symposium will be held at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC, on October 22-26, 2011. More information is at www.amia.org/amia2011
