Calls for Papers – Special Topic Issues of European Journal for Biomedical Informatics

On behalf of our colleague, Prof. Jana Zvarova, Editor-in-Chief of the journal EJBI (European Journal for Biomedical Informatics –, we are pleased to announce Calls for Papers for two Special Topic Issues.

EJBI seeks for papers for the special issue on Education in Medical Informatics and Bioinformatics. The editors of the special issue are Prof. John Mantas and Prof. Arie Hasman. (PDF file of Call text – 82kb)

EJBI seeks for papers for the special issue on Support of eHealth Applications by Legal Systems in Europe. The editors of the special issue are Petra Wilson and Zoi Kolitsi. (PDF file of Call text – 86kb)

Paper submission date for both calls is June 20th 2011.

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the Instructions for authors ( and sent electronically to the e-mail address We expect papers in the English version, which will be reviewed, and simultaneously the same manuscript translated in at least one other official European language.

The European Journal for Biomedical Informatics (EJBI) in an online, peer-reviewed journal ( reacting on the great European need to share information in the multilingual and multicultural European area. EJBI publishes papers in English and in other official European languages simultaneously. This opens new possibilities for faster transfer of scientific-research pieces of knowledge of many European countries to a large international community of biomedical researchers, physicians, other health personnel and citizens. Moreover, the journal enables to make results of scientific-research work and practical experiences of foreign specialists accessible to wider health public in a more comprehensible way in each European country.

EJBI is a Schattauer related journal and an official journal of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI).
