HIMSS11 Starts in Five Weeks
HIMSS11 – the Annual Conference and Exhibition of HIMSS, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, begins in under 5 weeks time. HIMSS11 will be held on February 20-24, 2011 at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando FL – full information is available at http://www.himssconference.org/
Keynote speakers will be Robert B. Reich, Economist and Former Secretary of Labor; David Blumenthal, National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, Department of Health and Human Services; Canadian born actor Michael J. Fox; and Richard Boyd, Chief Architect Lockheed Martin Virtual World Labs.
HIMSS11 will feature over 300 education sessions, networking opportunities, the HIMSS11 Interoperability Showcase™, with two nursing profiles to be demonstrated (the Patient Plan of Care (PPOC) and the eNursing Summary (eNS)). The new “Physician Executive Forum: In Pursuit of Meaningful Use of Health IT” is designed for practicing physician executives, and will examine the fiscal impact of meaningful use from three perspectives: clinical, financial and administrative. The social media center will help attendees explore how social technologies are applied in healthcare.
