WHO Atlas – eHealth Country Profiles

The World Health Organization (WHO) publication “Atlas – ehealth Country Profiles” is available for download from the WHO’s Global Observatory for eHealth website.

This 240 page publication (available as a PDF file, 5MB at http://bit.ly/ihY48Z or via http://www.who.int/goe/publications/ehealth_series_vol1/en/) is intended as a reference to the state of eHealth development, presenting data on the 114 WHO Member States that participated in the 2009 global survey on eHealth. Individual country profiles feature 50 key indicators in eHealth foundation actions as well as specific eHealth applications.

The objectives of the individual country profiles (available via http://www.who.int/goe/publications/atlas/en/index.html) are to:
• describe the current status of the use of ICT for health in Member States; and
• provide information concerning the progress of eHealth applications in these countries.
