Happy New 2011 from IMIA

IMIA wishes all its members, and the wider global health and biomedical informatics community, a happy and prosperous 2011.

We aim to continue expanding and improving IMIA’s services to our members and the community throughout 2011 and beyond. We will be working on the news services, the main IMIA website, and the possibilities of the new social media. We welcome feedback on what readers think is useful, helpful, informative – and  on ideas that they may have for improvements.

Expanding our communications infrastructure and information services is, however, a two-way street, and requires input from our members and readers. We welcome news items, conference information submissions, and items that people think will be relevant. As the global bridging organisation for health and biomedical informatics, IMIA seeks to inform about the current state of health informatics globally, in individual regions, countries, societies, and other organisations, and to explore the boundaries of the discipline.

There will be many health informatics events in 2011 – in particular, we hope that as many IMIA members and representatives as possible will attend the IMIA General Assembly at the end of August 2011, to be held in conjunction with MIE2011 (www.mie2011.org).

Please send all news items, etc to news@imia-services.org
