Health Informatics Forum

Health Informatics Forum ( is a social network for health informatics professionals, students and academics.

Set up by Dr Chris Paton in New Zealand (, the forum now has about 4,000 members from all around the world. While the forum is not an IMIA activity, many IMIA members are also members of the forum; Chris is also a member of the IMIA Web 2.0 Taskforce). Its members include many leading academics and researchers in the field of health informatics.

The forum provides opportunities for online discussion, features news and opinions via the blog posts, and features videos, categorised links, information on events, and many other features.
