Two UK Health Informatics Events

Two health informatics events take place close together in time, in September 2010, but at opposite ends of the country.

The BCS Health Scotland Conference 2010 takes place on 22 – 23 September 2010 at the prestigious Glasgow Science Centre. Three themes for this year’s event are Quality, Innovation, and Efficiency.  International speakers from Australia, Canada, Sweden, America, Ireland will be complemented by other presentations.

On 24 September 2010, in Portsmouth, the Southern Institute for

Health Informatics 2010 Conference takes place, with the theme “Digital Wellbeing – For Patients, Caregivers and Citizens”. The event will focus on topics such as home telecare, the impact of the ageing society, assisted living, personal health records and workplace wellbeing. It will be held at the University of Portsmouth, and details are on the website at http://www.chmi.port.ac.uk/sihi/sihi2010/index.htm The Invitation for Proposals is open; presentations are invited that address any of the issues.
