IFHRO 2010 – Submission Deadline Extended

The deadline for submissions to IFHRO 2010, the XVI Congress of International Federation of Health Records Organizations (IFHRO –, has been extended to 30 June, 2010.

IFHRO 2010 will take place in the “Stella Polare” Convention Centre, Milan, Italy on November 15-19, 2010. The theme of the event is “Better Information for Better Health – The way forward to a safe, responsive and integrated healthcare”. The 5th National Convention of AIDOS (Italian Health Documentation Association) will be held to coincide with the 16th IFHRO Congress.

Topics for oral and poster presentations will include, but are not limited to:

  • Health Records and patient safety
  • Clinical documentation and scientific research
  • Data management and integration
  • Classification systems
  • Clinical coding and quality of data
  • Electronic Health Records.

During the congress there will be Regional Forums chaired by each of the Regional IFHRO Directors to bring together delegates from each of the WHO Regions to discuss topical issues for their region and for their countries and also to network professionally with one another. A pre-congress International Educator’s Forum will be held on Monday 15th November 2010.
