IMIA invoices for membership fees

We are currently in the process of sending out membership fee invoices to IMIA members for 2009 (and, where relevant, invoicing for arrears). Most members (national societies, academic members, corporate members) should receive invoices by mid September.

As most readers will be aware, IMIA is an ‘association of associations’, rather than being an individual membership society. It comprises health/medical informatics societies from a wide range of countries, as well as having academic institutional members (universities, research organisations, etc) and corporate institutional members. The full list of members is on the IMIA website, via If you are a member of an organisation that has not yet joined IMIA, and wishes to do so, or to discuss further, please contact IMIA (via Dr Peter J. Murray, Acting Executive Director) at imia[at]

Individuals can become involved through IMIA’s wide range of Working and Special Interest Groups – further information is at and the chairs can be contacted individually to express interest.
