Hospitals using social networking applications

There is currently much debate about whether social networking tools, such as Twitter, have any real value. The debate will doubtless continue for some time, but following selected Twitter streams, RSS feeds, etc. is a useful way of, often serendipitously, coming across interesting information. Increasing numbers of hospitals – especially in the USA – are using Twitter, blogs, YouTube, Facebook, etc for a range of reasons, including to interact with patients.
