u-Health (ubiquitous health) is an issue of great interest in Korea (it was strongly featured in the NI2006 World Congress on Nursing Informatics). u-Health is seen as enabling healthcare consumers to easily access medical services, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, post check-ups and health management. The focus is on anytime and anywhere access, via ubiquitous information technology (e.g., mobile, sensor technology, wearable computer etc.). The concept of u-Health can include telehealth, telemedicine, telecare and e-Health.

Anyone with an interest in u-Health may also wish to visit the u-Health blog maintained by Karl Oyri and others –
