Medinfo
Medinfo – the World Congress on Medical and Health Informatics – is IMIA’s premier scientific event. Medinfo conferences provide both a high quality scientific exchange of current research and thinking in health and biomedical informatics and an opportunity for formal meetings and informal networking of IMIA’s members. The event is jointly hosted by IMIA and one of its Member Societies. The selection of the host society is determined through a vote of the IMIA General Assembly.
Medinfo2013
The next Medinfo will be the 14th World Congress on Medical and Health Informatics, and will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark on August 20-23, 2013. See www.medinfo2013.dk for the full official information about the event. We will additionally provide updates here, through the main IMIA website, and through various other channels.
The theme for Medinfo2013 will address the challenges we foresee to continue in:

Medinfo2015 will be held in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Further details will be provided at and after Medinfo2013.
Medinfo2017 will be held in Beijing, China.

About IMIA News
IMIA News is the most frequently updated news and information service from the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA – www.imia.org). We aim to provide items about IMIA, its members, and their activities, as well as material from the wider health and medical informatics communities globally. We extract content to provide a regular, initially monthly email newsletter for IMIA members. News updates are automatically sent out via Twitter, and a selection are highlighted on the main IMIA website and the IMIA Facebook page. We also use the OnSwipe plug-in to provide a special iPad interface.
