ITCH2011 – Poster Submissions Reminder
The Information Technology and Communications in Health (ITCH 2011) conference will include a Professional (non-student) Poster Session for the first time in its 24 year history. The deadline for the submissions to the poster session is November 01, 2010.
ITCH2011, with the theme Health Informatics: International Perspectives, takes place on February 24 – 27, 2011 at the Inn at Laurel Point, Victoria, BC, Canada – see http://itch.uvic.ca for full information on poster submissions and other aspects of the event.
Keynote speakers include Dennis Protti (University of Victoria, Canada ), Sally Stansfield (Health Metrics Network, World Health Organization) and Jeremy Wyatt (Institute for Digital Healthcare, Warwick, UK).
ITCH is organised by the School of Health Information Science, University of Victoria BC, Canada, which is an Academic Institutional Member of IMIA.
HIMSS11 – Keynote Speakers and Hot Topics
HIMSS have announced the first keynote speakers and some other highlights that they expect will feature in the HIMSS11 Annual Conference and Exhibition, to take place on 20-24 February, 2011 in Orlando FL, USA (http://www.himssconference.org).
Keynote speakers will include actor, author and patient advocate Michael J. Fox, and Richard Boyd, Chief Architect of Lockheed Martin Virtual World Labs; other keynote speakers will be announced in due course.
Among new features at HIMSS11 will be five new pavilions on the exhibit floor – covering Social Media, RFID, Emerging Technologies, Personal Connected Healthcare and Career Services – and three new symposia, on RFID & RTLS in Healthcare, Secondary Use of Data, and ARRA Usability. HIMSS11 expect that among the hot topics next year will be Regulatory Compliance, RFID, Meaningful Use, Social Media, and Medical Banking.
Registration is now open for HIMSS11 via the conference website, with early bird rates until 07 December, 2010.
